Is Jersey Strong open?
Jersey Strong is open effective September 1, 2020.
Was I billed for my membership during the State mandated closure of Jersey Strong?
No, all membership dues billing stopped effective March 16, 2020. Any billing already in process March 17-20, 2020 was reversed.
Will I receive a credit for any March 2020 membership dues that I was already billed?
Yes, any March 2020 membership dues that you were already billed will be prorated and credited to your next billing.
When will I be billed next for my membership?
Your access to the gym restarted on September 1, 2020 -- however, billing restarted on September 18, 2020 and it was for a reduced amount that reflects any credit you were due from March 2020. All future monthly dues billings will occur on your regularly scheduled bill date.
When will I next be billed for my Annual Membership Fee?
All memberships have an Annual Membership Fee that bills 1x/year. This is a separate fee from your monthly dues. This fee helps fund facility and equipment upgrades, facility maintenance, and enhanced facility disinfection, cleaning and safety protocols. If your membership includes an Annual Membership Fee that has a bill date of April 2020 through October 2020, you have not been billed for this fee yet. Your Annual Membership Fee will be processed with your November 2020 monthly dues payment. After November 2020, your Annual Membership Fee is scheduled to bill annually on your regularly contracted bill date.
Can I place my membership on Freeze at no-charge?
Yes, if you're not ready to come back to the gym yet, we understand. We've put a membership Freeze Holiday into effect so you can Freeze your membership at no-charge to you ($0/month) until things in our State start to return to normal. Just let us know 15 days prior to your next bill date and we'd be happy to place your membership on Freeze at no-charge -- by opening a support ticket here.
Will I be billed for my Annual Membership Fee while my membership is on Freeze / Freeze Holiday?
Yes, your Annual Membership Fee will bill while your membership is on Freeze. All memberships have an Annual Membership Fee that bills 1x/year. This is a separate fee from your monthly dues, and it is part of maintaining an active membership at Jersey Strong.
I put my membership on Freeze prior to the closure period, was I charged a Freeze fee during that time?
No, you have not been charged a Freeze fee during the mandated club closure period.
What about guest privileges, can I bring a guest with me for a free workout?
Unfortunately due to club occupancy restrictions, we have temporarily paused all guest privileges. If you have a friend or family member who would like to try the club, please send them to jerseystrong.com and they can register for a free trial membership.
Are digital workouts still available?
Yes, you can access our On-Demand workouts through our Jersey Strong Playbook mobile app here. Additionally, you can join our Facebook Group and follow us on Instagram for daily LiveStream workouts.
Are club hours of operation any different?
To allow for additional deep cleanings of the club, we will be operating with temporary adjusted club hours. This includes a midday club closure for a deep cleaning intermission on Monday through Friday from 2pm to 3pm. Here are our current clubs hours, effective as of October 15, 2020:
Monday - Friday: 6am-2pm | 3pm-9pm
Saturday & Sunday: 7am-2pm
We look forward to resuming standard club hours of operation as soon as it is practical to do so.
Will I need to bring my own boxing gloves, exercise mat, and yoga mat?
Yes, due to challenges with keeping these gym items sanitized, they have been removed from the facility. Members who wish to utilize these items during their workout at the gym will need to bring their own from home.
I have a Basic membership plan, can I work out at other Jersey Strong locations?
Typically Basic membership plans only provide access to your single home club location. However, in light of state guidelines for club occupancy restrictions, we're allowing Basic membership plans to provide access to any/all Jersey Strong locations until further notice.
When will babysitting be reopening?
We plan to reopen babysitting when state mandated club occupancy restrictions are expanded. Additional timing is noted below, and subject to change based on club occupancy restrictions.
